About UsWestside Domestic Violence Shelter first began when a group of people from Glenn County realized that there was a need to house families needing renewal and to break their family's cycle of violence. This group applied for 501(c)(3) non-profit status, completed it, and it was approved. A home was purchased by Glenn County HHSA in a secure and confidential location. From that time in 2012, Westside Domestic Violence Shelter has housed over 150 women and countless children. These families are from every ethnic background, and every town in Glenn County.
